SIMTERNET BEHIND THE CAMERA FOR TV8

TV8 started broadcasting on 1996 and is a joint venture of Acun Medya & Doğuş Yayın Grubu since 2013. TV8 started broadcasting as a news channel and today with more than 450 employees is a major player of the entertainment channels.

What was the need of TV8?

Since media sector always need rapid interactions, TV8 was aiming to strengthen in-house communication and speed up flow of information. There was also a need for social applications in order to increase the synergy between employees.

What kind of a solution was developed by SIMTERNET?

First objective of SIMTERNET was to build a functional in-house communication portal. Within the scope of basic institutional needs, Knowizz ready to use intranet which was build on Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Online infrastructure. Main aim was to minimize time loss and speed up daily work flow in TV8.

Second step was to pursue a strategy which will allow employees to better express themselves and increase participation. In order to increase in-house communication Yammer which provides a social network platform for companies was added to home page.

For personnel information logo integration was performed. At the same time, modules frequently used by employees like Events and Activities site, Thank you application, Fixture & Advantages World were added.

Result:

Speed of in-house communication and interaction of TV8 employees have increased. Employees can find all the information on a single screen by the portal developed by SIMTERNET. Can comment on shared news, document, idea and project, informed about in-house events, can participate any event he/she likes.
